Class 2/Ritual Astrology School
What is your special power? In this class, we’ll descend into the second house of astrology, traditionally referred to as “the Gates of Hades,” the portal into the subterranean houses of the birth chart. The second house is your personal place of power, encompassing all the resources and practical skills you have to work with. The home altar will serve as the night’s ritual focal point, as it represents the gateway between the physical and spiritual worlds, through which we offer and receive our most powerful resources.
The second house represents your deepest values, your personal aesthetics, and the sources of wealth in your life. In class, you’ll receive a personalized second house report based on your birth chart, and you’ll become acquainted with the sign and any planets inhabiting your second house, as well as the planetary ruler that presides over it. You’ll evaluate the condition of your second house placements based on planetary aspects and transits.
We’ll end with recommendations for your home altar, based on your second house ruler. The first coven gathering of the season will immediately follow, during which we will create a collective altar for the night’s new moon in Taurus.
Light snacks and refreshments will be served, but because this takes place during dinnertime, please feel free to bring your own food and beverage.
PLEASE NOTE: It is recommended that you come to class with a basic knowledge of the parts of a birth chart: the signs, planets and houses. If you need a primer, you can take the first class online or schedule a one-on-one birth chart reading at witchyheights.com/booking.
Online option: If you can’t make the in-person class or aren’t local, you can sign up for the online course on 5/7 at noon at witchyheights.as.me/altaronline. A downloadable link will be available after the class, so you can take the class at any time.
